SLD LEGISLATIVE PRESENTATION
ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING
Our
annual business meeting is typically held at the Spring Conference later this
week; however, Pearson will be presenting on their own platform which excluded the meeting. Therefore,
we will combine the business meeting with a presentation from our Co-CST
partners, the school psychologists. Terri Allen, PhD and Sol Heckelman, PhD
will discuss the pending legislation on the guidelines for determining
eligibility for the Specific Learning Disability category. They will present
the research that went into the plan to remove the severe discrepancy and
employ more scientifically researched based methods. Time will allow for a
short Q & A session.
A
short business meeting including the budget proposal will be held followed by
the door prizes!
