Expanding the Science of Reading

Presenter: Muriel Rand, EdD, MSW, Professor of Early Childhood Education at New Jersey City University. She is the author of Thinking Deeper: Cases for Early Childhood Practice and Voices of Student Teachers: Cases from the Field.
This Workshop will examine the history and models of early reading development, and the research linking play and literacy. Dr Rand’s most recent study of this subject will be published in an upcoming issue of Reading Research Quarterly.
